Company Overview

UDA Holdings Berhad was established by the government on November 12, 1971, as the Urban Development Authority (UDA) to make breakthroughs in the nation’s planned urban development for commercial and residential purposes. Moving forward to 2021, UDA marks the 50th anniversary of its establishment by consistently spearheading property development in Malaysia along with the company’s four main business streams, namely UDA Property (property development), AnCasa Hotels & Resorts (hospitality), UDA Dayaurus (facility management) and UDA Angsana (shopping malls).

Creating an eminent track record for over 5 decades, UDA has created more than 50 successful property projects nationwide and now operates as a Government-Linked Company (GLC) wholly owned by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MoF Inc.) while under the purview of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC).

Beginning September 2019, UDA is steered by Sr Mohd. Salem Khailany as its President / Chief Executive Officer and bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry and property development industry.

With 50 solid years of success stories, UDA stays true to its main mission of developing urban areas and increasing Bumiputera ownership in urban spaces while providing the community with a sustainable living environment, in line with its tagline, ‘Enriching Affordable & Sustainable Lifestyle’

UDA has successfully delivered more than 21,000 properties involving housing and commercial units, with iconic projects being Legasi Kampong Bharu, 38 Bangsar Residensi, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Bandar Baru UDA, Subang Jaya, and many more. In line with expanding the company’s legacy, UDA will next explore potential property development in Sabah and Sarawak with the same aim of aiding Malaysians in property ownership.

Over the years, UDA has maintained the quality of its working environment through consistent and constructive feedback that has been a crucial tool in elevating office management. UDA prides itself on its Employee Engagement Initiatives, consisting of 4-levels of discernment which are (level 1) Basic Needs for equipment, training offered, goals and meetings, (level 2) Sense of Belonging in creating opportunities, showing appreciation and being supportive supervisors, (level 3) Sense of Contribution for group support, performers reward and role models, and (level 4) Future & Growth with elements for employees’ future plan, future discussion and specific role identification.

These core factors play a significant role in detecting the overall employees’ performance and ensuring employees’ development is in sync with the values instilled by the company.

In addition, the development of the system and support is sets to be a guideline in constructing future moves involving UDA’s valuable employees, including Key Performance Indicator (KPI), relevant employees’ programs and the Work-Life Integration program.

UDA has always believed that a company’s main asset is its people. Since 2015, UDA embarked on weaving a more intricate development for its people, proving that the company gives importance to the development and refining process of its Human Capital (HC) best practices.

With the recognition from Best Employer Brand Accreditation & Awards, UDA now has the potential to tap into a wider talent pool and inevitably deliver more record-breaking products to the market. This makes UDA a company of choice as an employer.
